Do you need a weapon or spaceship that doesn’t exist in the HypeHype Asset Library? Or would you like your player character to have a hat and sunglasses? No worries, you can combine different things and shapes by gluing. Gluing makes sure the different parts stick together when the spaceship or character moves during gameplay.
Note: If you want to make a playable character or an enemy, make sure you start with a player or enemy premade!

- Add your chosen assets from the asset library. For this example, add a playable character and a hat.
- Place the hat on top of the character’s head. Remember you can move objects on one axis by using the colored handles.
- Make sure the hat is the right size and in the right angle.

- Press the glue icon of the hat and drag a link to the playable character. Select the bone that the hat should stick to: for a hat, you need to select the head.
- If you selected the wrong bone, don’t panic! There’s two ways to change the glue bone:
- Drag from the glue icon to the character again, and tap the Head bone.
- Tap Glue - Change glue bone, and select the Head bone.

Finally, the hat should bob along with the character.
You can test this further by changing the character’s animation:
- Select the character and open the Advanced details panel.
- Open the Character Animation node and change it to “Hit.”
- Watch the character and the hat move smoothly.
- If it doesn’t move right, you can always try to tinker with the position of the hat, or select a different bone.
- The object you glue things to is called the parent. The glued parts are called children
- When you have several glued objects in place, it may be difficult to select the parent. To target the parent, tap Glue - Select parent
- If you need to disconnect a glued object, tap Glue - Detach from parent
- You can also select all the glued objects at once. To do this: Select the parent object - tap Glue - Select all children
- Moving things precisely in 3D space can be tricky. Test different snapping options, or try to align things on an axis. To align, select 2 or more objects, tap Align Positions and select the axis and ratio

Pro Creator Tip: If you can't find the exact asset you need, use your imagination! Could a boat look like a shoe? Or if you need arm hair for a monster, maybe grab a tuft of grass and turn it black?
