The settings in My Editor are saved to your profile and loaded every time you open the editor.
The custom editor camera allows you to use camera settings different from your game camera when editing. With this turned off the editor camera settings will match the game camera settings.
The custom camera will still default to the position of the game camera when tapping Reset View. The game camera can also be repositioned using Set Camera however keep in mind that the game camera view may be different during gameplay. When using the custom camera you will not be able to preview your true game camera view in the editor, only during playtesting.
When the Custom Camera is toggled on two additional settings appear:
FOV | Set the Field of View of your custom camera. |
See Through Fog | Remove fog in the editor, allowing you to see clearly to the max visible range |
The Working Plane visualization helps to let you know where you are working in the editor. If you find these guides intrusive you can toggle them off here.
By default the editor opens with logic Nodes and links hidden. If you prefer to see these without tapping the Logic View in the Quick Menu, toggle this setting on and the editor will always open with Logic View enabled.
Note: Having logic view on automatically can interfere with interactive tutorials. Leave this setting off if you intend to do any tutorials.
