We are planning platform monetisation with creator revenue share in mind, so that creators and players can potentially go professional and earn revenue from their efforts. Those plans are still in development and we will share more information as it becomes available.
When the final platform launches globally, early access creators will naturally have a huge head start when it comes to making Games that stand out in quality and can rise to be global hits - and potentially earn revenue for their creators!
HypeHype is and will be completely free to download, use, play, create and publish creations.
There may be additional upgrades, features or assets available for purchase in the final platform, but those plans are still in development. We will share more information as it becomes available.

Essentially, it comes down to doing your best to make something enjoyable, for you and the other Hypesters.
Please check out our Help Resources wiki page!
Open the Create tab. Complete the 3 suggested tutorials to unlock the editor. Then, select a template you want to use as the basis of your game, or start from scratch. We recommend using templates, it's much easier!
Please check out also our Help Resources wiki page!
Editor Documentation lives in this wiki. Links to relevant wiki sections can be accessed via question mark (?) icons placed in the HypeHype Editor. Tapping the icon will open the Wiki page of the associated feature or tool. You can also start browsing the editor features with the Editor Overview wiki article.
We are working hard to include documentation for all HypeHype features in the Wiki.
No, when remixing a Hype changes making changes is required in order to save the game.
Every Game has a remix history from which anyone can see the parent game(s) as well.
Please know that remixed games with minimal changes will get limited visibility in the feed.
You can, but it’s not ideal. If you want to play a Hype with these features, we recommend that you dive into the creator and make it for others to enjoy as well!
Yes. The remix concept of HypeHype aims to make game creation efficient by offering a near infinite pool of material to combine and remix from. We hope that this leads to quick evolution of Games where the best things will develop forward and spread, making the overall Game quality better and better by sharing innovations and best practices.
You can also always add a thank you to the key creator(s) whose work you use in your game’s description.
To make a character move, we suggest you first start by using one of our premades. For example, the Simple Player: Run and Jump premade. You may change the model to something you like, and go from there. Playtesting will show you a joystick and jump button.
If you want to make one from scratch, we suggest using the Joystick node to make your character move around.
1. Select a character you would like to move around and add it to the Hype.
2. Add a Joystick node. We'll make this character move in a 3D plane.
2.1. Under Move: Magnitude, set the Max Value to 5.
3. Add a Force node. This will make the character move around.
3.1. Set the target of the Force node to be the character you added. Also, make sure the Force node is pointing in the direction the character is facing. This way, the character will always move forwards.
3.2. Turn the Local Force on.
3.2. Go back to the Joystick node and link the Move: Magnitude to the Force node's Amount. The Force node should now look like this.
4. Now add an Angle Rotator node. This will make the character turn in the direction you face with the joystick.
4.1. Again, set the target to be the character you added earlier.
4.2. Set the Operation to Set Rotation, and the Space to Global.
4.3. Go back to the Joystick node and link Move: Angle to Euler Y in the Angle Rotator node. It should look like this.
5. If you playtest, the character should now move around. We haven't set an animation for it yet so it will just move while standing idle. To add an animation, we will need to include a Compare node.
5.1. Set Value B to 0.01, and the Operator to Greater or Equal.
5.2. On the Joystick node, create a link from Move: Magnitude to the Compare node's Value A and use calculated value. Then, create another link from Touch End to Value A on the Compare node and set it to 0. This will make it so that when the character stops moving, the animation goes back to standing idle.
5.3. Finally, go back to the Compare node and set a link from Output if True to the character, and change the animation to Run. From Output if False, set it to Stand Idle. The Compare and Joystick Nodes should now look like this.
6. If you playtest now, the character should run around, and stand idle when you stop touching the joystick.
To end your Game, all you need to do is execute a Game End node. Depending on the gameplay of your Hype, you might want to end it once a timer reaches 0, or once a player collects all the available score, or even by reaching a certain physical point in the Hype.
For more information, please feel free to check out our in-game tutorial on the topic. If you need further help, please let us know!

To quickly make a game, all you need is to do is find one you like and remix it! You can change the colors, objects, and its general look to make it your own.
No, you can create a scene, animation, meme or more in the editor and just publish it without any playable content.
Great question! HypeHype Editor includes an asset library where you can find high-quality assets, models, sounds, add-ons and more for your Game. HypeHype adds new assets frequently that creators can use in their creations.
If you can’t find what you are looking for, visit the 🎨asset-wishlist channel on our Discord server and request what you need. Our HypeHype artists will get back to you.
We have also future plans for community created and edited assets, but will share more about those at a later stage.
Asset importing tools are still in development. It is possible to add sounds or models however these tools are not complete and not always functional. For more on how to create your own assets check the Asset Creation Instructions wiki page.
Note that submitted assets will be added to the Asset Library where they will be available to all HypeHype creators.
